Listen

Holiday Sing-Along is a cacophony of toys train whistles, bicycle bells, a popgun and music box; a Santa laughing through the Tuba; percussionists in sunglasses re-routing Rudolph into a calypso, while the Cello section conspires with kids in the audience to sing the counter-lyrics ('had a very shiny nose like a lightbulb...'); a Woodwind section suddenly abuzz with kazoos, and a final swashbuckling Celtic wail on Deck the Halls, French Horns standing. Have lots of visual and musical fun with your audience in this singalong of five winter favorites, key-optimized for audience participation: Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls. Have a vocal soloist or children's choir lead the audience in singing. Commissioned in 1999 by the Rochester Philharmonic, of whom the composer is a member.
